The current drinking water service coverage in Denpasar City only reaches 59.45%, whereas the MDGs target for the Bali region in 2019 was 100%. The limitations of the existing water supply system operated by PDAM Denpasar are directly linked to the inability to fully meet the city's water demand. As a result, many residents have resorted to constructing dug wells, shallow bore wells, and deep bore wells. This situation poses significant environmental risks, particularly concerning seawater intrusion, which threatens the ecological balance in Denpasar City.
